Technical Skill Tuesday: Rocking Shortcuts on Excel for Mac, Part 1 of 4,392

If you’re anything like me, you bought a MacBook Air with all of the excitement of someone who doesn’t think big purchases through. In other words, you didn’t think about whether or not your Excel shortcuts would translate from PC to Mac. Here’s a hint: They DON’T.
It’s a telltale sign of a former consultant turned entrepreneur: being completely lost on Excel when it comes to Mac shortcuts.
But fear not, young Levo Leaguers: there’s an easy fix to your malady.
Excel Shortcuts for Mac, Part 1: The F Keys
| F1 | Undo |
| F2 | Cut text from the active cell |
| F3 | Copy text from the active cell (aka, CTRL+C, or on a Mac, Command+C) |
| F4 | Paste text into the active cell (aka, CTRL+V, or on a Mac, Command+V) |
| F5 | Display the Go To dialog box (this is how you find & delete blank rows!) |
| F6 | Move to the next pane in a workbook that has been split |
| F7 | Check spelling (Didn’t know this one existed, did you?) |
| F8 | Turn on extend selection mode; used with arrow keys or cursor |
