Quick & Easy Breakfast: The Real PB&J

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are the staple items in elementary school lunch boxes (although let’s be honest, we all still enjoy them), but now it’s time to try the PB&J, 21+ edition.
Although jellies are a delicious, they lack the nutrients of the real fruits and are packed with sugars that hit your midsection like a fat grenade.
Try this to spice up a tradition sandwich in a way that makes it a great morning dish:
Toast one (or two, depending on your appetite) pieces of whole-wheat toast. Spread on your favorite peanut or almond butter and mix it with a little honey. Instead of the usual next layer of jam, add fresh berries: raspberries, strawberries, or blueberries, on top of the peanut butter. ENJOY.

Yum! I love this idea. I have also seen people sprinkle some granola on top of the peanut butter before adding fruit.
berry queens rejoice! this needs to be added to my breakfast recipe ideas ASAP!
I love that this article mentions both peanut butter and almond butter. I think almond butter is absolutely delicious!
