The working girl doesn’t have time to unsqueekify her bed. Or make friendship bracelets. Or personally fly a cat across the country to a friend. I mean seriously, who really has time to organize the pantry. It’s hard enough juggling networking events, time with girlfriends, homeboys and work. And doing it all without blinking, ensuring no one knows the stress that you’re really under. If only you were Wonder Woman, needing nothing more than a spin of your sparkly red cape to get all your nagging tasks done.

Well, that magic cape has arrived in the form of two furry bunny ears: taskrabbit.com.

TaskRabbit is an online marketplace that allows users to harness the power of their community to get things done. Dubbed “service networking”, TaskRabbit connects individuals to friendly and reliable help to get anything and everything crossed off that todo list…even tying tiny knots (clearly a skill needed for making friendship bracelets).

How it Works:

The Ask

In major metropolitan cities (Boston, San Francisco, San Antonio, Austin, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, LA, and New York City) post a task to TaskRabbit with how much you are willing to pay. For example, my roommates and I just posted a task for a designated driver to Napa, colored with all the job-posting humor one would expect from a craigslist pro.

The Offer

TaskRabbits then makes offers on task postings. All TaskRabbits are fully vetted with background checks. They receive reviews for their work that showcase how great of rabbits they really were. Note* we learned from experience today that you can counter the Rabbit’s offer. But once you do and they accept, everything is locked in-that’s YOUR TaskRabbit!

The Pay

No TaskRabbit gets paid until the task is complete. TaskRabbit.com then takes a small percentage as a service fee while the majority goes to the Rabbits themselves!

If this is the first time you’re hearing of this: you’re welcome. If not, then spread the bunny love (non-playboy style).
